Earlier this year we visited Aquiares, meaning 'land between rivers' a coffee estate which lies on the slopes of the Turrialba Volcano in Costa Rica. It was our very first plantation visit and it won't be forgotten. Although drizzling to start, it was warm and humid when we set out on horseback to tour the picturesque, lush, shaded plantation. We were educated throughout our ride on the history of the plantation, about coffee from seed to cup, the journey to becoming the only Carbon Neutral coffee farm and the challenges of modern day. We visited the farm's 30 metre waterfall, had a full tour of the processing facility & savoured the farm to table menu on the patio of La Esperanza, a century old hacienda in the heart of the coffee farm. We truly enjoyed 5 star hospitality from the Aquiares team. We hope you enjoy :)

I love lone tree coffee! I found them randomly one summer at a fruit stand in Summerland and thought I'd try it. I've struggled to find a coffee that is delicious every cup no matter what. Smooth Sailin' is my go to for smooth coffee. Also, their customer service is above par and they truly value their customers. I highly recommend them for your coffee needs (which if you're like me, they're very high)..

I was introduced to lone tree coffee several years ago by my son and have been in love with it every since. I love that it is a small company & know that I am getting fresh, quality beans. I have tried several of their beans and right now Okanagan Extreme is my favorite. When I am getting low, I order and within a week my coffee has arrived.

I visited Australia earlier this year and had the absolute best coffee I've ever tried in my life. I purchased an espresso machine upon my return and have tried many coffee roasters in BC, but none compare to the quality, flavor, and smoothness of Lonetree. It makes me feel like I'm in Australia again!
